Christmas Time 1921 As he is single DCI Rutledge is sent to Cottam's House, Hartsham, Kent to investing an attack on Colonel Lord Braxton. But there are difficults in finding the suspect.
An enjoyable historical novella though not much of a mystery.

1925 May. The reclusive Viscount Montcrief has invited the Wireless Theatre company to his house to perform a play he had written. The next morning he is found dead. Swift and Lennox are called in to investigate.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its cast of likeable characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
