Lady Anne and the Menacing Mystic (Lady Anne Addison Mysteries #4)Lady Anne and the Menacing Mystic by Victoria Hamilton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

1786 Lady Anne Addison is staying in Bath where she is staying with her mother. She becomes aware of a medium who is the talk of Bath and visits her with a couple of friends. Not believing in the mystical she is suspicious of the woman. Then unfortunately a death occurs.
I have enjoyed the previous books in the series, but I found Lady Anne this time to be too unfeeling, and irritating. A very slow paced story and not enough of a mystery for me.

In this finished work of Jane Austen, we have the family of the Watsons. Father, daughters Elizabeth, Penelope, Margaret and the youngest Emily (Emma). Their story begins with Emily returning to live at her family home, Stanton Parsonage, after spending the last 15 years living with her aunt and uncle. On the remarriage of her Aunt she leaves as her Aunt travels to Ireland, and she returns to Stanton.
An enjoyable re-read of this story.
