Deadly Engagement: A Georgian Historical Mystery by Lucinda Brant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Alec Halsey, a diplomat, has returned to London of 1763 to find that his brother the Earl of Delvin is engaged to the woman he loves, and has killed a friend, Jack, in a duel. The mother of Jack believes he has been murdered and wants Alex to investigate.
This leads him to a house party held by his god-mother.
Really enjoyed this and look forward to reading more in the series.
