The Consul's Daughter: A red-blooded historical crime thriller based on true events by Mark Knowles
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
AD 205 and February in Rome, and Tribune Ambrosius Milo is on the night watch when he discovers a body of a young lady. Unfortunately although not in his responsibilities he decides to investigate. Intrigue and mysteries follow.
A very well-written enjoyable book and I liked the characters, mostly.
