Jeannette Marlin has been killed and her husband Peter comes under suspicion but he is not charged.
It is not until after the inquest that Inspector Crow from Scotland Yard is called in to investigate.
First published in 1969 and this is reflected in the different style of the story. But I did enjoy the mystery, a good solid start to this re-publishing of the series.
