The Mark of Cain by Carolyn Wells
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Rowland Trowbridge fails to come home as expected. Only for his body to be discovered. But who could want him dead.
Annoyed once again by the insipid main female, which I admit might reflect the time period. But there was the slang of one of the characters which sometimes made him incomprehensible. So not her best story especially as I had picked the guilty party out quite early.
