1851 London. Lady Grizelda Niven on accompanying her family to the theatre spies her maid, Nancy Barrow leaving the theatre. Curious she follows her out, only minutes later to discover her dead. Shortly after Hungarian Dragan Tizsa arrives on tbe scene. Together they investigate as it seems Tizsa is the main suspect.
An enjoyable Victorian mystery with its touch of romance. A good start to this series.
