A Ghastly Catastrophe by Deanna RaybournMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
1890 Veronica and Stoker are contacted by Mornaday of Special Branch as a body, of Maurice Quincey, has been discovered dead in suspicious circumstances, in a carriage outside Highgate Cemetery. Especially as they had been another death of a close friend of Quincey. Seemingly both members of a secret society. Intrigued they investigate.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable and interesting main characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
An ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
