The Woman in the Water by Will & Sheila Barton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
in 1761 Bath, one day sees a local vicar Jonathan Harding crossing a river with his friend Henry Castlemaine, when the ferryman sees a body in the river. Harding becomes intrigued and wishes to find out who it is. Meanwhile Lizzie Yeo niece to Harding's housekeeper is looking for a friend she has not seen in a few weeks.
A very enjoyable read and a good mystery, told in a slow, detailed, entertaining pace. With some likeable and varied characters.
