A Perpetual Estrangement: Jane Austen's Persuasion Reimagined by Alice B. Ryder
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
In this modern variation, Anne has spent the last ten years regretting Freddie Winters, then he returns. But he is cold towards her and starts dating Millie, her cousin.
I did find that it took a bit too long for the happy ending, and not totally happy with some of the swearing. But overall an enjoyable story even though I found Anne to be a bit of a doormat.
