After an accident in which Darcy saves Elizabeth life, he makes a mess of his proposal and has to be taught to be humble and accepting of various people.
Bit too sweet for my taste, most people are good, or become good too quickly. Also Elizabeth seems to be perfect, which is too far from canon to be interesting.
