Inspector Blake Hartley is called to 'The Grange' because of a murder. A place he is well acquainted with as his mother used to work there as a cook, a house located on the outskirts of Keighlworth in Yorkshire. Though the wealthy owner is dead Hartley can at first find no motive. But he and is sergeant, Khan, investigate.
A satisfying well-written mystery.
