Oxford 1961. Mr Thomas Hughes has been killed in a tragic accident on Bonfire Night. Newspaper reporter Duncan Gillingham's article hinting at a cover-up leads WPC Trudy Loveday, with the help of coroner Dr. Clement Ryder to investigate.
Another enjoyable well-written crime story in this series with its two likeable main characters.
