Shelley and the Unknown Lady by Lona Manning
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1818 Percy Bysshe Shelley has been followed throughout Europe by an unknown lady, could it be Mary Crawford of Mansfield Park fame.
Mary Bertram nee Crawford has arrived in Bagni di Lucca, Tuscany, alone, happy to have escaped her marriage when a chance encounter introduces her to Shelley.
A well-written and entertaining story, with its portrayal of these interesting characters.
