James Augustus Dench of King's Mailing left his home and disappeared. When his body was discovered three weeks later Superintendent Budd and Sergeant Leek of New Scotland Yard were called in. The pair had previously visited the area because of the death, unsolved, of Hebert Marsh of Wildcroft Manor. Is their a connection.
An enjoyable historical mystery.
