April 1935 To celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the King, the town is holding a Beauty Pageant at the Dolphin Hotel but before the end of day one of the contestants is found dead. But what could be the motive behind the death of a young female. The new Inspector Lewis heads the case but objects to the Bryant newlyweds own investigation. Will the crime be solved before another death and by whom.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable main characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable cozy series.
