June 1884 A charity dinner is invaded by five masked men causing mayhem and murder. Witnesses include Leonora Spencer and DI Jasper Reid. Was the female victim a random occurrence or planned. Reid investigates with the unofficial help of Leonora.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery romance with its cast of likeable and interesting characters. Another good addition to this delightful series.
