November 1944. Chief Inspector Mason is called to the BB Sauce factory in Aston. Because of a suspicious death of one of the workers, Harry Winterhouse, found in one of their vats. But what of the seemingly unrelated events which have occurred including thefts and coded messages.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable main characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
