1889 Adventurous and author Mikaela Forsythe has discovered her sister, Leonard, Lady Litton has disappeared with her maid Mary Ryan only for Mary to turn up murdered. She is persuaded to team up with ex-police, now p.i. Angus Brodie, to investigate.
An entertaining historical mystery. A good start to this new series though I probably would have enjoyed the story more if it was just about Brodie.
