THE CREEPING KELP by WILLIAM MEIKLE

(Paperback)

Some seaweed, a jellyfish and some material brought back from the Peabodie expedition to Antarctica. An innocuous enough blend you might think. But when a storm in the North Atlantic frees a sample that has been dormant inside an old wreck, the new creature finds that it is hungry. Our plastics-oriented society has given it an abundant supply of food... more than enough for it to grow, and build, and spread.

Can anyone escape the terror that is... THE CREEPING KELP?

If you are like me and grew up on those glorious nature run amok movies you will absolutely love The Creeping Kelp and I highly recommend it. - Famous Monsters of Filmland

The Creeping Kelp would make for a great beach read, and will give you shivers the next time you step on a piece of seaweed in the water. Highly recommended. - The Monster Librarian

Set in Montreal in 1996 a vigilante kills the murderers and rapists.

Prude & PrejudicePrude & Prejudice by Francene Carroll
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

A modern Pride and Prejudice in novella form of only about 16,000 words.
It concerns Prudence Higginbottom a part owner of an organic cafe/catering business with her parents and 3 sisters.
A new business comes to town with Charles Bradley and William Darling as the two directors.

I am not sure if this would have been improved by being a lot longer and if it had would I have become more irritated with the characters.

Accidentally Yours (Yours by Design)Accidentally Yours by Robin Helm
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I felt this book should have been tagged as 'Christian' and therefore I would not have read it and because of this I found it difficult to decide what rating to give.
The tale is that Will Darcy (who I found very smug) from the present day and Fitzwilliam Darcy of Pride and Prejudice, his ancestor, swap bodies just after F.Darcy has given the letter to Elizabeth Bennet.

Tahoe ChaseTahoe Chase by Todd Borg
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

PI McKenna living near Lake Tahoe is asked by Joe Rorvik a 92-year-old, former Olympic ski racer, to investigate when he finds his wife Cynthia down below their deck.
Then her friends start dying.
I basically enjoyed the story but the descriptions of, for example, skiing and Lake Tahoe were for me too much and I would just skim these parts.
