THE PLASM by WILLIAM MEIKLE

A pulp sci-fi novella from Dark Regions Press in hardcover, paperback and ebook

A derelict spacecraft and a storage cavern on Mars are linked by a forgotten secret. Ancient rituals are invoked, dark energy is awakened, and soon the Plasm is growing, and feeding. Desperate measures are required-but will they be enough?

This one is a wee B-movie homage-a film that was never made if you like. It runs in my head like a Gerry Anderson production, and if you think of it like that, I'm sure you'll have a load of fun with it.

PROFESSOR CHALLENGER:THE ISLAND OF TERROR by WILLIAM MEIKLE

Available now from Dark Regions Press.

Strange lights on the moors, weird noises in the night, cattle disappearing; these things alone are more than enough to prompt Malone’s newspaper to send him to investigate. And when his old companion Professor Challenger also goes missing, the hunt is on.
The trail leads Malone to the British military, and to a research station in the Bristol Channel, where an old terror proves, once again, that some things are not meant to be contained.

Mr. Meikle continues to write outstanding stories, and Professor Challenger: The Island of Terror is no exception, it further cements his place as one of the best storytellers writing today and I highly recommend it. - FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND

The Watchers trilogy, my retelling of the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion in Britain. Bonnie Prince Charlie, and all his highland army, are Vampires and are heading south to claim the British throne. The "Watchers" of the title are the guards of the old Roman wall built by Hadrian, now reinforced to keep the vamps out. CRUSTACEANS by WILLIAM MEIKLE

Giant killer crabs invade Manhattan.

Crustaceans is definitely horror, but it's also Science-fiction, in a very 1950's B-Movie kind of way, a creature-feature if you like. It runs in my head like one of those lurid early technicolor monster movies, and readers will have fun thinking of it that way themselves.

I don’t think you can have much more fun reading a book than Crustaceans. It is one hell of a ride that will keep you turning the pages as fast as you can read them. - Famous Monsters of Filmland

At bottom, it’s a fun book, written to show the reader a good time and nothing more than that, on which level it succeeds admirably well. I thoroughly enjoyed its pulp(ish) pleasures. --   Peter Tennant, BLACK STATIC #31

THE CREEPING KELP

Some seaweed, a jellyfish and some material brought back from the Peabodie expedition to Antarctica. An innocuous enough blend you might think. But when a storm in the North Atlantic frees a sample that has been dormant inside an old wreck, the new creature finds that it is hungry. Our plastics-oriented society has given it an abundant supply of food... more than enough for it to grow, and build, and spread.

Can anyone escape the terror that is... THE CREEPING KELP?

If you are like me and grew up on those glorious nature run amok movies you will absolutely love The Creeping Kelp and I highly recommend it. - Famous Monsters of Filmland

The Creeping Kelp would make for a great beach read, and will give you shivers the next time you step on a piece of seaweed in the water. Highly recommended. - The Monster Librarian

ISLAND LIFE

Some legends are true...

The old stories tell of an evil far beneath the earth. When an archaeological expedition ignores local wisdom and opens an old barrow on a remote island in the Scottish Hebrides, they unleash a horror beyond their darkest nightmares. Will anyone survive the onslaught of the Island Life?

I love monsters....especially black and white ones with the zips showing. Treat this novel like a fifties monster flick and you'll have a great time with it.

THE INVASION

It started during a winter storm on the North Eastern Seaboard which brought with it a strange green rain. Where it fell, everything withered, died, and was consumed. The residents of remote outposts in Maritime Canada escaped the worst of the early damage, but that was a blessing in disguise, for they were left to watch as first North America, then the world, was subsumed in the creeping green carpet of terror.

And that was just the beginning. New life forms began to arise from the ooze, simple organisms at first, but multiplying with ever-increasing complexity. The few human survivors are faced with a full-scale invasion... and only radical measures will guarantee the survival of the human race.

THE HOLE

A novel in Hardcover, paperback and ebook from DarkFuse, THE HOLE reached the top 100 overall in the Amazon Kindle charts, and reached #3 in Amazon Horror for all formats.

It starts with a hum that brings headaches and nosebleeds to the inhabitants of a sleepy country town. Then the sinkhole starts to form. Out of the hole come their worst nightmares.
A group of survivors descend into the collapsed area, trying to survive, facing their worst fears, and looking for a way to save what is left of their town.
Sacrifices have to be made.
But will it be enough?
There is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Meikle is one of the premier storytellers of our time. The Hole is one hell of a story, a fun ride and a blast to read.- Famous Monsters of Filmland
