While at a fete at Spetisham Hall, Fi Booker is approached by Bianca Spencer informing her that her assumed dead husband is alive and married to her. Then she receives a blackmail letter demanding money which she decides to foolishly deal with without informing the police. But when a body is found in the canal Inspector Marcus Falconer Investigates.
Overall an enjoyable cozy modern mystery.

An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable and varied characters. A good start to this new series.

A cozy historical romance and mystery but I did not find the two main characters particularly interesting. Maybe it would have been better to have read the first book in the series.

While supporting her friend in her bereavement Mrs Pargeter invites, Jasmine Angold to a charity reception for PhiliPussies. A charity which rehouses cats from the Greek Island of Atmos back to England. But at the event she meets her previously unknown sister-in-law, which is followed by a death, results in a lot of potential revealing of secrets.
An enjoyable cosy crime mystery which re-introduced me to the tales of Mrs Pargeter. A re-read to finish off the series.

In this Pride & Prejudice variation as Darcy arrives in the neighbourhood he saves Elizabeth Bennet from a raging bull, but it is a compromise, even though an innocent one. As both Bennet parents are eager to see all their daughters married (Mr Bennet because he wants to spend more on books and port) they are forced to become engaged to marry. Into this situation is Mr Collins and his wife who are soon to arrive to stay at Longbourn, even though Mr Bennet is concerned for their safety as he does not trust this disreputable man with any of his daughters.
An enjoyable re-read.

Several cases are being investigated at Portsmouth CID. At an angling club, a metal box with handcuffs attached is discovered in the dried up Sinah Lake, inside are valuable old coins. But who was attached to the handcuffs. Also on Gosport seashore, a burnt-out car with a body inside is discovered. But this will not be the last body found.
An entertaining and well-written modern mystery with its diverse cast of characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series. Though there is a storyline from obviously a previous book which is a distraction to the main story.

Having just met, Mary Bennet and the Colonel, are unsure about their relationship or what it even is, can they possible have a happy ending.
I enjoyed this modern variation of Pride and Prejudice, and as it contains the story of my favourite couple in JAFF makes it even better. Another enjoyable re-read, again, again.

The next day Old Molly is found day, suffocated. What was Molly trying to tell, what was she afraid of. Meanwhile Matt is looking for runaway Liam Cooper, missing for 10 days. Neither seem to be a straightforward case for the agency.

This Pide and Prejudice trilogy continues as Elizabeth Bennet is now in town to face the ton. Soon she is joined by Jane and Mary. Elizabeth continues to be irritatingly perfect which distracts from the story. A bit of a sweet story though there is Lady Marjorie and Caroline Bingley with of course George Wickham to add some needed sourness.
An entertaining story, a re-read.

The police believe that it's Alan's hiking stick that is the weapon and he becomes a suspect. So they decide to investigate. Didn't find Dan to be particularly likeable in this story.
Overall an entertaining modern mystery.

In this Pride & Prejuice sequel, seven years have passed and Mary is the only unmarried Bennet left at home. This has resulted in an improvement in her character with the help of her elder sisters and father. Then the Bennets and the other family members are invited to Pemberley for the Christmas season. Can this visit give Mary the chance to do something that none of her sisters have yet to do.
A really delightful story, well-written, and I couldn't wait to get to the end to see how events would unfold.
Another re-read, again and again.

There he finds in a sheltered spot Mary Bennet. Has the Colonel finally found an intelligent lady, has Mary found some one who appreciates her.
An entertaining and delightful and well-written story which I have read many times
Loved this tale though would have wished it to be much longer. For me the best of this author's stories.
Another re-read, maybe a yearly event

But what is the mystery behind this family? A re-read which although enjoyable was too much of a Elizabeth and Darcy story for me.
