Due to rumours, Edmund Blackstone, Bow Street Runner, is assigned to protect the seven year old Princess Alexandrina Victoria from being kidnapped. But when he is attacked he wonders if the assignment is really a waste of time as he has thought.
I enjoyed this well-paced mystery. I found the characters interesting and hope that more of the stories will be re-published.

Other Countries: A British Police ProceduralOther Countries: A British Police Procedural by Jo Bannister
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Why did Rachid Iqbal arrive in Enlgand via Turkey to attack TV historian Oliver Ford. Which DC Hazel Best mainly managed to stop. Hazel's friends - Gabriel Ash and Saturday - grow concerned about her relationship with Ford.
I have not read any of the previous books in the series which didn't present too much of a problem but I didn't really find the plot or characters interesting enough to want to read more.

Miss Darcy Decides (Love at Pemberley, #2)Miss Darcy Decides by Reina M. Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A sweet easily read novella about the loneliness of Georgiana Darcy among all the couples in and around Pemberley. Is there someone for her.
Athough a stand-alone story I think these novellas should be readin order to help build the characters and the stories.
