Wil JadeWil Jade by Philip Alyster LaGree
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

It's 1940 San Francisco and Philip Jade, reporter is killed in an hit an run accident, just as he is about to expose a big story. When his son Wil receives information that it was murder, it leads him onto the trail of politicians involved in land management fraud, the search for the truth continues until the end of the war. Found I really couldn't get engaged with the narrative or the characters. Probably would have been a better read for me, without the details of the voyage of the sailing ship.
A NetGalley Book.
