When former MP Sir Geoffrey Ryland and his wife are killed it's easy to presume that their chauffeur's former criminal life was the reason. DI Tom Mariner doesn't believe so and then it becomes personal and he pursues the case unofficially.
Enjoyable well-written, mystery which kept my interest.
