Behind The Horseman by Suzanne Downes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Underwoods are now established in Hanbury but still living with the Rev Gil Underwood. Gil has fallen in love with a Roman Catholic and his career might be at risk. Meanwhile a young woman, Lady Cara Lovell, has become enamoured of Underwood. He is totally oblivious to this as he is concerned for the welfare of his wife Verity and unborn child especially after she was attacked in the vicarage grounds. Soon though he will be embroiled in a murder case as a body is discovered.
Another enjoyable well-written book in this series with its cast of likeable characters.
