Ex-policemen and now P.I. Ballard is asked by the police to look into an old murder case, that of Lindsay Harrison. On one of their cases his partner Liz has to inform Frances Morton of their failure to locate her sister. Meanwhile Liz's cousin, Christie McFerran, visits for a working holiday. Soon she takes an instant dislike to a local female, and her treatment of her friend's. Will the truth be revealed.
An entertaining and well-written psychological thriller. Another good addition to the series with its likeable main characters.
