1918 Henry Spellman and Chadwick Holdsworth have left South Africa with the diamonds and arrived in England. Soon they are exchanged for Greek coins, but only one of them will arrive in Cleveland. Then another murder occurs. Various people are still looking for the diamonds, but who is the murderer. Sherwood Garth, Pinkerton man and Major James Mallory investigate.
An entertaining historical mystery with its likeable main characters. A good start to the series.
