Detective Michael Brady is on a year long leave due to the death of his wife and has moved back to Whitby. But what can he do when his best friend is killed and the innocent wife arrested but can a private citizen do more than the police when it becomes to stepping outside the law.
An entertaining and well-written crime story, a good start to the series.
