1944 Jane and Elizabeth are nurses, Catherine and Lydia volunteers in the same hospital while Mary works as a land girl. Enjoyable first half until it came to another disappointing pairing for Mary but it could have been worse.. Which is when I lost interest but did quickly read to the end. And no Colonel Fitzwilliam.
Overall an enjoyable story
