After returning from finishing school Netty Dyer discovered her mother is to re-marry. To a much younger man. But she dies on her wedding night and Netty is concerned that she was murdered. To this end she employs private investigator Charles Hunter, who is helped by the maid at the Waiting Mortuary, Constance Dunn, where her mother waits burial
An entertaining cozy mystery set in Victorian times with its likeable main characters. This is a good start to this series.
