1917. Colonel Louis Lamarchant has arrived in London looking for his missing cousin Francois, Marquis de Nagat, 25, and his sapphires. With the help of Inspector Derwent and WPS Dorothy Peto they start to trace his movements, taking them from London to Yorkshire.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its interesting and varied characters which can easily be read as a standalone story.
