1868 Heiress Delia Chadwick has been kidnapped by the supposed Spring-Heeled Jack, a figure from thirty years ago. Matilda Wren is employed to find her. But another heiress disappears. Is there another motive apart from money.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its cast of likeable and interesting characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
