1841 Bath. Mrs. Frogerton and his companion Lady Caroline Morton become embroiled in a poison-pen scheme, and a locked-room death in the Queen Square buildings where they are residing. While Inspector Wells investigates they unofficially help.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable and interesting main characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
