A short (5,500 words) Pride and Prejudice story - at the Netherfield Ball Mr. Bennet persuades Captain Denny to cheer up Mary Bennet after her performance at the piano. Captain Denny surprises himself that he actually enjoyed the resulting conversation.
Another re-read, though much too short for this enjoyable story. Thankfully it continues with Extended Conflict. Another re-read.
