London 1870 Horace Wright a postal clerk is discovered dead inside a pneumatic railway car. Surgeon Samuel Light was seen arguing with him, and so was promtly arrested and charged by Inspector Morgan. Friends including Tommy Jones know he is innocent and so they begin their investigations.
But what could be the possible motive, and if Light is innocent who is the guilty party.
An entertaining Victorian mystery with its cast of varied and likeable characters. A good addition to this trilogy.

Unfortunately a murder occurs and DCI Tallier of the Surete who suspiciously just happens to me on holiday asks Arthur Quayle for his help. Will there be more deaths but could the possible motive be.
An entertaining and well-written historial mystery with its varied and likeable characters. Including an interesting main character in this enjoyable series.

In this Pride & Prejuive sequel, Colonel Fitzwillian is visiting Hertfordshire looking for a different life. But another reason slowly matures, he becomes aware that he would like to have a wife, but who. Can he avoid the matchmakers and find his happy ending.
A delightful and well-written story, with is very likeable characters.
It can easily be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the prequel - Matching Mr. Darcy (Sweet Possibilities, #1) first.
A re-read of this story again. And again.

In this Pride & Prejudice variation Darcy's offensive words about Elizabeth at the Meryton Assembly do not go unchallenged. On asking Elizabeth for a dance, Elizabeth throws his words back at him. He becomes intrigued by her response but what will he do. But with this couple nothing can be straightforward.
A delightful well-written story where all the characters are likeable. I especially like this Bingley, and Mary.
A re-read so that I can read the sequel again. And again.

An entertaining Holmes mystery. Another good addition to this series with its likeable characters.

A Pride and Prejudice variation which begins a year before canon when an unfortunate occurrence with one of their friends changes the dynamics of the Bennet family. Now it is a year later and the Netherfield party and Mr Collins have arrived. How will this impact on the Bennets.
A delightful story of all of the Bennet family, especially enjoyable as the story did involve all of the daughters and not just the usual Elizabeth and Darcy interactions.
An entertaining re-read, again.

The three elder Bennet sisters and Charlotte Lucas have more accomplishments than canon. Can there be a happy ending for all the participants.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this well-written variation, with its so many likeable characters. An entertaining re-read

In this Pride and Prejudice variation Georgiana Darcy's failed elopement with Wickham is public knowledge and the Darcys are now on the fringes of society. Then Darcy meets the oh so perfect Elizabeth Bennet, they marry and the plots start.
Overall an entertaining read, but Elizabeth Bennet is too much of a Mary Sue character for me and Darcy overly solicitous. Though an enjoyable re-read.

A mixture unfortunately of romance and mystery.
Overall an enjoyable story which did seem to drag a little in the middle.

Still Mary and Kitty are at home and as usual Mr Bennet dismisses them both. But what of the Collinses. What changes will happen. What will the new and varied characters bring to Longbourn. Willthere be a happy ending for anyone.
An entertaining and well-written story with its cast of likeable and familiar characters.

In this Pride and Prejudice variation Georgiana Darcy elopes with Wickham with the result that she is ruined, and with consequences to the Darcy name as it becomes known among the ton. She is intercepted at Meryton by the Colonel and Darcy, where Elizabeth than aids Georgiana which is the start of their correspondence. This soon leads to an exchange of letters between Elizabeth and Darcy. It is a much humbled Darcy that gets to know Elizabeth. A Darcy that has been lonely all his life. The Bingleys and Darcys eventually arrive at Netherfield.
There is some mature content before marriage and after. For me there was actually too much of their interactions and would have been a better story without.
A re-read and it had been a very long while since I first read it.
