ShadowsideShadowside by Neil Root
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

1936. A Mrs Hopkins approached reporter Harry Rose as her daughter Dorothy, fifteen, has disappeared from the Sunnyside Asylum near Milston. She employs him to trace her whereabouts as she was last seen nearly three weeks earlier. To aid his investigation he is employed as an orderly. But progress is slow as he is without any help.
An interesting and well-written historical mystery with its plot twists. With its cast of varied and complicated characters it makes for an enjoyable read.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher via Library Thing and am voluntarily leaving a review
