January 1884 Leonora Spencer while working as her uncle Claude Feldman's assistant at the morgue, is disturbed by a thief. Inspector Reid becomes involved and reluctantly accepts Leonara's help as they investigate this death and others. Are they connected, if so how.
An entertaining Victorian mystery with its interesting main characters, who seem to have their own secrets to hide. A good start to this new series.
