July 1813. Mary Crawford, and her brother Henry are on their way to Mansfield Parsonage to stay with their half-sister Mrs Grant at the Parsonage. Of the people of Mansfield Park, Sir Thomas Bertram is away in Antigua, and Maria, the eldest daughter is engaged to James Rushworth, with his 12,000 pounds a year.
This is Mansfield Park from the point of view of Mary Crawford.
A very enjoyable re-read. A very well-written variation, with good descriptions and characters.
