2009. For nearly a 100 years the Manchu Stallion, a jade statuette has been lost. Now Mrs Alison Grey has been approached to buy back what once belonged to her family. She employs private detective Harry Webster to investigate. Unfortunately for him and others it leads to many bad situations, and murder.
An entertaining well-plotted, and well-written modern mystery. A good start to this new series.
