1898 Paris is in the aftermath of the Dreyfus Affair. When several murders occur Inspecteur Michel Devaux investigates.
What I wanted to read was a murder mystery where I coukd work out the murderer, unfortunately that was not what i got. i also felt it might have been a better read if I had read the first book in the trilogy.
But overall an interesting read with its varied characters.
