A re-read of this Pride and Prejudice variation whereby Elizabeth and Mary as the only two survivors of the Bennet family are taken in by their Gardiner relations. In an earlier tragedy Mary has been left deaf.
On a holiday with the Gardiners at Ramsgate they met Miss Darcy, but Wickham is also there. Can she be saved and how will the meeting of Darcy and Elizabeth fare. Soon they are introduced to the Fitzwilliam family. Will both Bennet ladies have their happy ending.And what of Bingley.
This is more the story of Mary and Colonel Fitzwilliam, which is why it is a favourite of mine.
An enjoyable and well-written variation with its delightful characters.

Some of the characters are OOC but it was an enjoyable story just a pity that there was not more of the Bennet family

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, with Colonel Fitzwilliam injured in body and soul Darcy feels that he must do something to aid the British in the war against the French. So he is sent to Meryton to learn about the inhabitants as suspicions have been raised.
A delightful and entertaining well-written story with its interesting characters.
Which is thankfully not just a romance tale but would have loved to have the Colonel more in the story and so a lot more about my favourite couple. An enjoyable re-read. Again.

Unfortunately both have a motive for his death, but can they find the culprit before they are arrested and quietly hanged.
An entertaining and well-written historical romance and mystery with its cast of likeable characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series which does have mature content.

How does this affect the future of the Bennet family and their neighbours. the story tends to concentrate on Elizabeth's reactions which is a pity as I would have like more of the interactions between my favourite couple.

On entering she soon discovers the body of the curate in the belfry, his arms and legs nailed to the surfaces. Jane investigate with the help of Harrington, son of the ill Magistrate. Is there a connection with a similar crime of 25 years ago.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.

Thankfully Inspector Lovebrook is staying at the hotel, helped by Marcus and Lady Isabella in his investigation.
A well-written and entertaining historical mystery with its likeable characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
