Sofia Moorland needs an escape from the predicament arranged by her step parents. She persuades Dr Reid Gentry to employ her as his herbalist. But he has troubles of his own, not just from his family but it seems there is an attempt to frame him for murder of several of his female patients. So can they help each other.
A well-written and entertaining historical mystery and romance with its cast of varied and likeable characters. A good start to this new series. Does contain mature content.
