Hildegarde Withers is on holiday on Catalina Island. When the local plane service lands one of the nine passengers is dead. The local police and doctor proclaim a natural death, but not Miss Withers, until the corpse disappears. She has contacted detective Oscar Piper and awaits his arrival.
An entertaining historical mystery.
