Still not sure what to make of straight regency romances without the mystery but I did enjoy this tale. The spinster Gillian Redfern who spends her time moving between her brothers and sisters meets the rake - Ronan Patrick Blakely, Lord Marlow as she is travelling to London and her carriage breaks down only to be saved and taken the rest of the way by Marlow. Can the rake win his wager to compromise Gillian. Can there really be a happy ending.
A very easy read and an entertaining story, with some interesting characters.
