The Solitary Witness: A Sherlock and Lucy Short Story (The Sherlock and Lucy Mystery Series Book 20)The Solitary Witness: A Sherlock and Lucy Short Story by Anna Elliott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lord‭ ‬Anthony‭ ‬Dale and his wife are in the chambers of 221b Baker Street. ‬Lady‭ ‬Constance‭, ‬his‭ ‬wife‭, ‬has‭ ‬been‭ ‬shot‭ ‬at‭, ‬but‭ ‬thankfully‭ ‬it‭ ‬only‭ ‬grazed‭ ‬her‭ ‬forehead.‭ ‬They‭ ‬are‭ ‬seeking‭ ‬protection‭ ‬because‭ ‬she‭ ‬is‭ ‬a‭ ‬witness,‭ ‬the‭ solitary‭ ‬witness‭ ‬left,‭ ‬for‭ ‬the‭ ‬prosecution‭ ‬of‭ ‬a Laurence‭ ‬Linden.‭ ‬He‭ ‬has‭ ‬been‭ ‬charged‭ ‬with‭ ‬the‭ ‬murder‭ ‬of‭ ‬their‭ ‬neighbour‭ ‬Mr‭ ‬Henrik‭ ‬van‭ ‬Rensburg.‭ ‬On‭ ‬the‭ ‬night‭ ‬of‭ ‬the‭ ‬murder‭ ‬Lady Constantance, saw a man leave the house which she later identified as Linden.
An‭ ‬enjoyable‭ ‬and‭ ‬well-written‭ ‬mystery,‭ ‬another‭ fine addition to‭ ‬this‭ ‬series.
Received an ARC from the authors.
