But work is never far away as he‭ ‬gets‭ ‬involved‭ ‬with‭ the investigation into ‬a‭ ‬substituted‭ ‬horse‭, ‬and‭ ‬a‭ ‬dead‭ ‬body.‭ ‬The‭ ‬body‭ ‬is‭ ‬of‭ ‭ ‬Sally,‭ ‬the‭ ‬daughter of‭ ‬the‭ ‬horse‭ ‬owner‭ ‬Barton‭ ‬Kirkland.
Online‭ ‬betting,‭ ‬horse‭ ‬race‭ ‬fixing,‭ ‬how‭ ‬is‭ ‬it‭ ‬all‭ ‬connected‭ ‬but‭ ‬the‭ ‬bodies‭ ‬continue‭ ‬to‭ ‬be‭ ‬discovered.
An‭ ‬enjoyable‭ ‬well-written‭ ‬modern‭ ‬crime‭ ‬story,‭ ‬with‭ ‬its‭ ‬likeable‭ ‬main‭ ‬characters. Another good addition to the series.
