August 1921, Evelyn and Tommy Christie are staying Hessleham Hall, home of his uncle, the Earl of Northmoor. But soon the Earl is dead and all the dinner guests confined to the house while the police investigate. Evelyn takes it upon herself to help.
An entertaining and well-written cozy historical mystery. A good start to the series.
