The Rochesters are on a visit to Moor House, Morton, Yorkshire, home of cousin Mary Rivers. But has evil come to the area in the guise of a Gytrash as a man is found dead. But by whom and why. But this is not the only mystery that confronts Jane as she investigates.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its very likeable main characters support by a cast of varied and interesting personalities.
