D.I. Kate Redman has to cope with returning to work, leaving the twins, and out of the blue a ghost from the past. Her first case back is that of the murder of 28 year old Nick Salisbury, found dead in his camper van.
An entertaining and well-written modern mystery with its cast of interesting and likeable characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.

Helped by his sister Crustina, sometimes too naive, and arrogant which does make her at times unlikeable, and his deputy Tomasso.

Jabez North, is an unscrupulous orphan who will do what ever to achieve wealth including murder. This results in sending an innocent man to an asylum.
Overall an enjoyable story though the 'humour' totally past me by.

An entertaining and well-written historical mystery withits likeable main characters. Another good addition to this very enjoyable series.

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, does Darcy have a rival for the hand of Elizabeth Bennet in Wickham. How can he afford to marry. Soon after Charlotte's marriage to Mr. Collins, Elizabeth and Mary venture to Hunsford to find their futures.
An enjoyable re-read, but it was a pity that the opportuniy was dismissed to portray, in detail, the second romance in this story. That I would have loved to read about. Which is the only reason I re-read the story. Another re-read.

An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its interesting and likeable characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.

In this Pride and Prejudice variation the elder twin Henry Darcy is terminal ill as is Mr Darcy, the elder. The Darcy brothers with the Bingley family arrive at Netherfield. Soon Georgiana arrives and a friendship ensures with the other extremely shy Mary. Because of Henry's health, Mary and Elizabeth with the Darcys and the colonel move nearer London at Southover House, and to be close to the elder Darcy.
Would have liked to read more about Mary and the reaction from the Fitzwilliams.
An entertaining story.
